Zakat is a religious obligation for all Muslims.The payment and disputes on zakat have played a major role to fight with poverty.
Customarily 2.5% of a Muslim’s total savings and wealth payable on completion of every lunar year.
Zakat can only be paid to specific beneficiaries and projects such as :
- Poor
- Needy
- A stranded traveler in need of financial assistance
- Debtor
- Slaves – it can be used to purchase their freedom
- Collector of zakat etc.

Pay Donations Sadqaat & Atiyat
Sadaqah means voluntary charity its a virtuous deed. It derived from Sidq meaning that the person is giving charity to help the poor and needy confirming his true devotion and service.
Since sadaqah is not limited to giving of Donations, every one can therefore earn rewards hereafter.
Atiyah means gift, anyone can help his poor neighbour or needy person by gifting him.
General type of donation consider Sadaqa or one who mention about his intentions.
